I work on continuing the teaching tradition of master teachers, Katarina Burda, Sahra Kent and the long lineage of women learning from their mothers, aunties and sisters in living rooms around the world.

We work on embodying the movements for our individual selves, and everyone works at their own pace. We work on deep muscle movement, musicality, pulse, community dancing, and performance as well. We usually have time at the end to learn new songs and practice old ones that we sing.

I have studied Baladi with Sahra, and have alot that I would like to continue with practicing and exploring and been a student of Katarina Burda for 15+ years. With Helene Erkison I spent a year and half learning and practicng Bulgarian, Tunisian, Beledi and Qajar! Rumen Sali Shopov I spent a year in his music ensemble playing Davul with a growing repetoire. Danced Bulgarian/Turkish Roma style learning with Stefka Shopov. So, I have a handful of great teachers and experience, and would like to create a community of musicians and dancers interested in these repetoires.

$12-$15/class or $40/month
